10/23/2008 - Governor Rendell Targets Technology - Based Economic Development With $13 Million Investment
Governor Edward G. Rendell today said Temple, the University of Pittsburgh, venture capital investment firms and others will help to bring new products to the marketplace, provide crucial seed money for promising new companies and create new jobs with a state investment of $13 million.

Plan Contest
The Ben Franklin Venture Investment Forum (BFVIF) in conjunction with the Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Central and Northern PA (BFTP) announces the Big Idea Business Plan Contest. The grand prize of $100,000 will be awarded to one technology-oriented company start or further develop the business in Pennsylvania.

The Erie Keystone Innovation Zone (KIZ) announces the fourth annual Erie County College Business Plan Competition, offering local college students the opportunity to participate in helping to revitalize and expand the community while competing for cash prize giveaways.
9/17/2008 - eBizITPA Assists with Hurricane Ike Relief
eBizITPA provided crucial assistance to first responders and government workers in Pasadena, Texas in the wake of Hurricane Ike which slammed the Texas coast on September 12th and 13th. Pasadena, one of the fastest growing cities in Texas, lies approximately 15 miles southeast of Houston’s center, near where the eye of the storm made landfall.

3/13/2008 - eBizITPA’s 300th IT Implementation Grant Awarded
The Center for eBusiness and Advanced IT (eBizITPA) reached a major benchmark in February by awarding its 300th IT implementation grant to The Hite Company in Altoona, Pennsylvania. The grant will assist the company in making major upgrades to its current Web site in order to increase visibility and streamline company processes.
