eBizITPA! Open For e-Business Event Planned for Technology Center

 

Erie, PA (June 17, 2003) --- eBizITPA, a resource center designed to help Pennsylvania businesses and organizations understand and use information technology and e-business tools through a range of services and programs, will host an open house Monday June 23, 3:30 to 5:00 PM and Tuesday June 24, 7:30 to 9:00 AM at the Center located at 5340 Fryling Road in Knowledge Park adjacent to Penn State Erie,The Behrend College.

 

Management and staff will provide information on eBizITPA programs and services including courses designed to help business thrive in an electronic environment and demonstration of e-business tools that can be used to reduce costs. Visitors can tour the Center and talk to e-business experts regarding a wide range of e-business solutions from web-based applications to advanced technologies.

 

EBizITPA is The Center for eBusiness and Advanced IT, a statewide Ben Franklin Technology Economic Development Authority initiative. It is headquartered in Erie, PA and located on the Internet at www.ebizitPA.org.

 

A new service of eBizITPA being featured at the open house is its electronic supply chain management portal, b4bnet.com, for small-to-medium sized businesses, non-profit organizations and municipal governments.  Through the use of exclusive tools, the portal allows buyers and sellers to interact electronically to reduce costs and enhance competitiveness.

 

EBizITPA has been actively operating since January, forming partnerships with key businesses and organizations that will help increase visibility for e-business and accelerate technological change among business in NWPA.
